I'm Thankful - Part 1

I just had a really good weekend where I was able to fully contemplate all that I am thankful for. I have a few pictures to upload later and go into more detail, but I wanted to take a minute to recognize my amazing mother-in-law. She has breast cancer and is putting up quite a fight. If you want to read more about it, The Daily Spectrum wrote a great article about her last Thursday, and you can get to it from this link. I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING!

I feel old this week....

I guess "old" isn't quite the word, but it just hit me last week how fast time flies. My little sister, MahLee, turned TEN last week. The thing that hit me the hardest is that she was born MY SENIOR YEAR! It seems like just a couple years ago - not 10! In my mind, I'm like 21-ish, but NOPE. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent/share.

P.S. MahLee got lots of fun stuff, including the game Clue, which she is now obsessed with. :-D

My Full-Time Job

This year has been such a blessing. Instead of teaching full-time, like I have for the past four years, I'm only part-time now. I teach only two classes in the afternoon. So now I get to more fully do my other job - raising and taking care of my kids and husband. If I would not have worked those few years, I probably wouldn't appreciate my life so much right now. I love my kids so much, and here are a couple of pictures of them.

UPDATE: KAITLIN AND ASHLEY WERE THE MOST RECENT VISITORS TO THE NEW ADDITION TO THE HOUSE. THANKS FOR COMING, GUYS!

Halloween and Weekend Fun!

We had such a great Halloween this year. Kinley really wanted to be Gabriella from High School Musical. (The wig was a bit much, but it added to the overall effect). Tayleah wanted to be a princess, but I talked her into an adorable dinosaur. She especially loved shaking her tail. And Trexton was the perfect monkey - wiggly at all times. I was a slob and wore my pj's to school, and Jeep was a party pooper - couldn't get him to dress up. :-D

On Saturday, I road tripped w/ my college sisters, Kiana and Kaitlin, to State Volleyball. We had so much fun laughing, analyzing teams, laughing, shopping, eating at the Brick Oven, and laughing. It was a great day!
