Spring Break & Easter

I especially appreciated Easter this year. I love our Savior and am so thankful He atoned for our sins and was resurrected. Because of Him, we will be able to see our loved ones again. Plus, we can be with them forever! What great news!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Princess Tayleah has turned 5 years old! She had a royal party and really looked the part.

Tay's Advice

Yesterday, a fund-raiser was held for our friend who is battling breast cancer. She is just two years older than us and is the mother of three young girls. She is amazing, and I am inspired by how well she's doing. While I was at our first track meet, Jeep went to help set up for the fund-raiser. Before he left, he asked Tay if she wanted to say anything to our friend with cancer. She said yes, so they wrote her a letter. Tay told her three things:

1. Your hair will grow back.
2. It's okay to scream and cry.
3. Jesus is there with you.

Even as I type this, the tears fall. She is very wise beyond her years. I am so thankful for her and the example she sets for all of us. I'm also thankful for the fight in her and that so far tumors haven't come back.

It's a humbling thing we had to go through. However, I think about all that we learned. I'm so thankful for our loved ones, our community, and the outpouring of love we received. In so many ways, we wouldn't have survived without the help and support of others. I learned that prayers are answered and that my Heavenly Father and Savior are real. My heart is full of gratitude!
