Happy Birthday to Trex! (and others)

A little over a year ago, Trexton Jeep Spaulding was due on Feb. 19. However, at 12:01 a.m., he was born on FEB. 21! I really wanted him to have is own birthday, but he had other ideas. He shares his birthday w/ my cousin Ryan (29) and his Aunt Daezia (13). We had fun, family, presents, and cake to celebrate. (I'm still a little sad that he's growing so fast).

He made quite the haul. I told people he didn't have many toys - HE DOES NOW!

He loved his cake - a little too much!

His sisters were helpful, of course!

All the birthday peeps

After an exausting haircut by Aunt Kaitlin (sorry Kait, too busy to take any "during" pictures), Trex passed out on Uncle Koda.

The Unexpected Contender...

A quick update:  Last weekend, we went up to State Wrestling held at UVSC.  Dalaki did awesome.  After going in third place from our region, he beat two guys and evened PINNED the other region's #1.  This sent him to CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday, which no one (but us) expected.  He did great against this kid who beat him at Region the week earlier.  He even got the first take-down.  Unfortunately, he fell wrong, clear into the third round, but second place in the state is nothing to be ashamed of!  I'm so proud of you, brother!

It was great fun hanging w/ the fam, shopping, and seeing friends,  Later, Jeep and I got to go on an anniversary date.  I'm very blessed and so thankful for all I have!

P.S. Two of our wrestlers took State -
Adam Pearson and Travis Hatch -
GO TIGERS!

7 Years and Counting. . .

WARNING: THIS POST IS MUSHY & GOOEY!!!
(YUP, THAT'S AN UNDERSTATEMENT)

1. Where did you meet? In 1st period Algebra, the first day of 8th grade in the old high school. He was the new, small kid w/ a big calculator.

2. How long did you date before you were married? It's complicated. We dated on and off in high school and were really good friends. After his mission, we dated and were married 5 months later.

3. How long have you been married? The reason for this "special" post (thanks for the idea, Marina)is because our 7th anniversary is Monday, February 16!

4. What does he do that surprises you? He's very witty and says the craziest, funniest things all the time.

5. What is your favorite feature of his? I love his smile and his eyes. He's so full of fun and goodness.

6. What is your favorite quality of his? There really are too many to mention, but I really like how he makes me feel, how he honors his priesthood, how he's a good dad, and how he's very Christ-like.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Nish

8. Does he have a favorite color? Red, White, and/or Black :)
9. What is his favorite food? His favorite meal is fried chicken w/ mashed potatoes. He REALLY loves it - I should make it for him more.
10. What is his favorite sport? Definitely basketball, especially since he's an assistant coach at the high school.

11. When was your first kiss? March 16, 1997. It was right after we got done decorating for prom. It was magical :)

12. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Actually, we enjoy doing everything together: going to sporting events, golfing, demolition derbies, traveling, hunting, watching movies, talking - just to name a few.

13. Do you have any children? We have three - two girls and one boy. We love them so much and center our lives around them.

14. Does he have a hidden talent? I don't know if they're hidden, but he's really good at communicating (most of the time); plus, he's really good at computers and electronics. He's also REALLY funny.

15. Who said I love you first? He did. It was a couple weeks after his mission, and we were on the "C" overlooking Cedar City. He always wanted to "stand with me on a mountain." I said it right back, of course!

Jeep, thanks so much for putting up w/ me,
making me feel loved,

and giving me the best 7 years of my life!

"Trex Handsome"

Tay is learning the difference between girls and boys.... In her world, it's simple: girls are pretty, and boys are handsome. She tells me at least ten times a day, "Trex handsome, mom." We took pictures this week at Wal-mart and now have proof that she is exactly right!
(I was able to buy a CD of all the poses w/ the copyright and everything, and he was such a good boy!)

(Jeep doesn't think the tub picture is very "manly,"
so we won't tell him I posted it, too)

P.S. I can't believe he turns ONE this month. I'm kind of depressed about it :(
