WARNING: LONG ONE...
I think humility is a great virtue, and I've always admired it in people. However, I am finding out how hard it is to be constantly reminded that you can't do everything on your own. It's hard for me that I can't single-handedly take care of my family, but on the same note, I am beyond grateful for the wonderful people in my life who are constantly helping and lifting me up. I know I will probably leave people out, but here are a few:
My mom - not only is she a great nurse grandma, but she has been such a strength to me. She has rearranged her schedule countless times, traveled with me, babysat, changed Tay's dressings, flushed her PICC line, and so much more.
My dad - he babysits my kids all the time when I go to work, and he never complains about it. He is a great grandpa and does so much for us!
Jeep's parents - they have their own battles but are always quick to babysit and help when needed. Nedra's a great nurse grandma, too, and we count her in our many blessings.
Kiana & Kaitlin - they are just always there for me, no matter what. They have gone on trips, baby sat, done hair, bathed kids, and so much more. They are two of my best friends, and I'm so thankful for them!
Koda & Dalaki - they have watched my kids and given countless rides to help me out. I'm thankful for these guys!
Daezia, MahLee, and Akaydeh - so much babysitting w/ so little complaining!
Charis - my lifelong best friend who I can never repay for all the favors, advice, and comfort she has given me. She is such a blessing every time we have to go to Salt Lake.
Extended family and community - I have lost count of the meals, presents, and treats brought into our home. It's hard to accept so much from so many people, but I am so humbled and grateful to accept this help. We would not be surviving without so many caring individuals around. Just when I think I can't make it another day, someone calls, brings food, or anonymously leaves money. Again, I am so humbled.
Facebook friends and fellow bloggers - Thanks so much for your love and support through the comments and things you say. Every kind word and prayer is felt for sure!
Last, but not least - I AM THANKFUL FOR A LOVING FATHER IN HEAVEN WHO SACRIFICED HIS SON FOR THE REST OF US. I CAN'T IMAGINE THE PAIN HE FELT AS HE WATCHED HIS SON SUFFER FOR THE REST OF US. WATCHING MY SUFFERING CHILD IS THE MOST DIFFICULT THING I'VE HAD TO LIVE THROUGH SO FAR. I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE ATONEMENT AND THAT IT COVERS HEARTACHE AND PAIN. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS KNOWLEDGE, AND I HAVE TRULY FELT THE LOVE OF HEAVENLY FATHER AND OUR SAVIOR MORE PROFOUNDLY IN MY LIFE.
The following pictures are random from the past week, and they just make me smile :)
