We Love Preparing for Christmas!

The day after Thanksgiving we get out all the Christmas decorations - it's one of my favorite days of the year! This year I had such a great experience, and I especially loved sharing it with my kids. My heart was full of gratitude on this day!

The next week we got to take the kids to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. They were super-excited, and we all can't wait for him to visit! :)

I just love when little kids cry on Santa - I think it's so adorable :)

Thanksgiving 2011

We love Thanksgiving. This year we stayed in Milford and ate at my mom's house. It was so delicious. I especially enjoyed seeing cousins, playing football with the kids, and watching some TG Friends episodes. All in all, we have so much to be grateful for!

Tumor-free!

Earlier this month, we took Tay in for her regular check up. This is always a stressful event for me, which has been occurring every three months. Tay is great, though. When she was getting measured, I asked if she knew what to do. She answered, "I've done this like a hundred times, Mom." She's such a little grownup sometimes. Things went smoothly, and we found she's clear of tumors again! What a relief. Also, her doctors said the longer she's clear, the better her chances are. We're not out of the woods yet, but it's nice to know our daughter has no tumors for now. And even better - we don't have to go back for SIX months! Yay!!

The happy Spaulding Family :)

Each year on Tay's surgery anniversary (in November), we try to take the kids on a trip and both years we've gone to a temple. Thanks to Ryan and Jessica for joining us this year! It was so much fun; it was especially cute to hear Kam say, "JESUS" every time we saw him at the visitor's center. Our lives are busy but full of love :)

Deer Camp/Hunt 2011

One of my favorite traditions growing up was Deer Hunt/Camp. Now I'm thankful to carry on that tradition with my kids. We camp and eat more than actually hunting, but I love it all - the mountains, fresh air, family time, card games, food, hunting, and everything else that goes with it. I sure love my family and cherish the memories from the past and the new memories we make each year!

Every time the four-wheeler started up, Trex & Kam ran for a ride :)
