First Day of 1st Grade

Kinley is growing too fast! She started 1st grade this week. She was really excited - I kinda had a hard time w/ it. I'm glad she loves school, though, and I hope she keeps working hard to learn!

I have to share a cute Kin story from this summer, which took place right after Jeep took the kids bowling. Here's the conversation:

Kin: "Dad, you're one of the best dads ever!"

Jeep: "Just ONE of the best - not THE best?"

Kin: "Well, I don't know all the other dads, but out of the ones I know, you're the best!" :)

Summer Days. . . Driftin' Away

We have had an incredible summer! I'm sad to say that it slipping away. I guess we need to just remember the good times, right? Here are a few of our most recent good times.

City league softball was a blast; I loved playing w/ my fam and some great friends!

Kinley LOVES x-country camp; she was the youngest one there and ran 1 1/2 miles! I love that she loves to run!

We went the Mineral Mountains for a couple of nights. We love the mountains and wish we made it up there more often!

Jeep's parents went w/ us one night; look at that sunset!

The awesome Holms took us to the reservoir. The girls loved the tube, and Jeep is awesome at skiing!

A Butterfly Birthday Bash

Last month my little sister, Akaydeh, turned 7. She had the bright idea to have a butterfly birthday party. They colored butterflies, got their faces painted, had a cocoon race, made bookmarks, and hit a pinata - just to name a few activities.
My girls had so much fun.
