First 5k and a Half Marathon!

Last Saturday, we ran our annual race - the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon. It was my fifth time running it. We had rookies, Daezia and MahLee, with us so Dad and I took it slow with them :) They did great too! It was actually pleasant - besides the heat.

Kam waiting for the race - thanks Aunt Kiana for watching him!!

Plus, Kinley ran her first 5k at 7 years old! This mom is so proud of her. She LOVES running already and asks all the time to go. She ran with her dad and only walked once. She got sixth in her age group (11 and under) and only got beat by 10 and 11-year-olds. Her time was 36:22! Again - so proud :)

Relay for Life

Two weekends ago we had the incredible privilege of participating in Beaver County's Relay for Life. If you don't know about it, this is a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society where you get donations and do laps around a track. This was such a special experience for us in so many ways. First, we had so many friends and family members donate to our team - THANKS!!! Then, Tay was honored as a survivor with her Grandma Nedra. Also, our team was awesome - we clocked about 321 miles in 13 hours.
Hopefully, we will someday live in a world where there is a cure for Cancer!

I read a tribute about Tay and what a fighter she is; Jeep and I held the banner on the opening "Survivor Lap"

Tay led the way for the other survivors; This pic of Kin and Tay, side-by-side, melts my heart
