Milestones for Kinley

This last week has been a busy one for my first-born.

On Thursday, she graduated from Kindergarten - it was so cute. She's a little sad and will miss her teacher and friends, but she's looking forward to first grade next year. I'm so proud of her; she surpassed all of her learning goals and really enjoys reading. Good job, Kin!

Class of 2021 - YIKES; Kin w/ Mrs. Wiseman (great teacher!)

She also turned six yesterday. Sigh. I really can't believe how grown up she's getting. She got some really great presents - including a new bike. Her party was fun at the Pavilion Park; we did a music dance party. (The Hokey Pokey, Limbo, and The Chicken Dance were big hits). It was fun, and I'm proud of the the person she is becoming. :) THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED OUT!!
New bike; Limbo time!

Happy Birthday, Mary MaKinley Spaulding!

Belated Ode to Motherhood

I know it's a couple of weeks late, but I wanted to express my thoughts regarding this Mother's Day.

First of all, I have been blessed w/ an incredibly loving mother. She has taught me so much and has been the best example. I love her and her selfless attitude. Also, I'm glad that my kids get to see her regularly; (they have great grandmas!)

Second, I have a great mother-in-law. She is so helpful, nice, and inspiring. She's all done with chemo and is in the middle of her radiation treatments. She is an inspiration to us and a great grandma to our kids; we're so glad she lives close. (No photo, sorry)

And last, I am so grateful to be a mother. My three children are so loving, teachable, and Christlike. I love how they look at me like I always know what I'm talking about and like I'm always right (I know, I'm enjoying it while it lasts). I love them more than words can say!

Field Trip to the Dairy, BYU Track Meet, and Our Graduation Situation

Like usual, last week was busy but great!

On her kindergarten field trip, Kinley went to the Dairy; she learned a lot and had fun! (I got to go w/ her, and it was great; she insisted on sitting by me on the bus - so cute)

Next, we headed to Provo for the annual BYU track meet. We had 12 P.R.'s (personal records) set by the track team - Dalaki helped with 4 of those; here a pic of him running!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, two of my favorite siblings graduated from college! I'm so proud of them. Koda earned his Bachelor's @ SUU, and Kiana graduated w/ her Associate's Degree from Snow College. The fam had to split up, but it was all good. Jeep and I went to Kiana's and got to have lunch with the higher ups of Snow - it was great! Then, we headed to Cedar to have a family party at Aunt Rhonda's house. Congrats to cousins Christie and Todd, who graduated fro SUU, too!
