Our Authentic Thanksgiving

Last week in church our Primary President was talking to the kids about Thanksgiving. She started explaining about the first Thanksgiving, about being thankful, describing Pilgrims and Indians, etc. She went on to say that nowadays we don't necessarily eat dinner with the Indians, but we can still be thankful for what we have. Kinley raised her hand and said, "I have Thanksgiving with Indians." Ha ha!

This year we went to visit my Grandma Livingston on the Reservation, so we did have an "authentic" Thanksgiving. :) Jeep loved wearing a Pilgrim hat (made by Kiana). It was a great trip, great meal, and just a great time for our family. I'm so thankful for all we have!!!

Tay's One-year Anniversary

It's been one year since our whole world got rocked. One year since we found Tay's tumor, got it out, and started chemo. The hardest year of my whole life. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant for Tay either, but she seemed to deal better than the rest of us.

Last Friday, Jeep had a conference in Salt Lake, so we decided to take the family and make a trip out of it. I think this will be a yearly tradition - celebrating as a family. I love each of them so much. I'm so thankful they're mine forever, but I'm especially grateful for the time we have together in this life. They make me strive to live better so I can be worthy of them forever.

We had so much fun, and it was great just spending time with the kids and visiting loved ones. Thanks to Marina, Charis, Heidi, and Josh for helping us with our great weekend.
